My First Shoot of the year, and it was an interesting one.

The shoot hinged on the idea of peace. I was thinking about the protests against the Vietnam war and the images of people putting flowers into the barrels of rifles.

The other thing that can be sometimes seen as Anti Establishment is growing a beard.

Why not combine the two.

So we did. We Put flowers…..in a beard.

Working with different lighting to darken the mood a bit

Looking at the past and the future, some flags are seen as the liberators and sometimes the oppressors.

But lets keep this post light. Blowing out the background. It’s almost angelic.

This was a great shoot and working with Gary was a pleasure. This shoot had to happen quite quickly as within the next week….well, go and take a look at this post by Gary

I’m really glad i got to shoot with him before that happened.

Anyway….nearing the end of the shoot, and i was saddened by the loss of a good friend. It had seen and recorded all the great sights i had seen over the last 3 years or so including this last one.

The Shutter had finally given up.

With a heavy heart, i have already got the replacement for it, and it may have a second lease of life. It is currently away for a new shutter and hopefully will be back in my hands fairly soon.

A few people to thank as always
