Having a few hours to look through some of my old work, and went back to one of my first portrait shoots back in 2017.

I did this when i was very green to lighting and studio work, and decided going to a group shoot would help.

I went to a local group called ‘Click Group Shoots’ which is now sadly not going, but they were very informative and a lot of fun.

Anyway back to the shoot. This was with a great model called Sam.

If i remember it was 1 large softbox camera left with a silver reflector at the right to provide a little bit of hairlight. It was a while ago though.

I am very glad i keep my Raw files for most shoots I’ve done. It allows me to go back and have a play with photos i haven’t edited yet.

I might do a bit more of this over the coming weeks. I think it helps keep up with editing skills and you can also try new editing techniques while you may have a bit more time.
